Here are a few frames that I made for gifts for my daughters teachers. I purchased the small frames and all of the vintage jewelry at rummage and estate sales. I took the backings off the vintage brooches and earrings and arranged them on the frames. I love creating things from items I find while "junking".
* In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in bananas. * Spread into a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. OR you can make this into a cake by using 3 - 8" round cake pans. (I prefer to make it into a cake) Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean (do not overbake). Cool. * For frosting, in a bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy. Gradually beat in enough confectioners' sugar to achieve desired consistency. Frost bars. Store in the refrigerator. Yield: 3-4 dozen.
After a long blogging break, I am back! I am not sure how often I will be able to post to my blog, but, am going to try my hardest to post more frequently. With the warmer weather on the horizon I am starting to feel better. Hooray!
You might notice the cute red bag with the SB monogram on my sidebar. If you have a chance click the bag and check out Simply Bags website. They have beautiful bags! I was the lucky winner of a Monogrammed Beach Bag in their twitter contest and am looking forward to recieving my prize. I will post pictures once it arrives. Thank you Simply Bags!
